Together with Women's Hope International - and thanks to you - we are committed to ensuring that women in Africa can exercise their right to a healthy and self-determined life.
The principle is easy to explain: For every bag or accessory sold, we give 1 € to Women's Hope International, thus enabling three young women in Ethiopia to train as midwives.
WHY DO WE CARE ABOUT THIS?
The prospective midwives receive good professional training and thus new life perspectives. At the same time, their position in society is strengthened.
On the other hand, they not only bring their knowledge into society, but also become the best advisors for families and girls with regard to contraception or family planning. This can prevent up to 57% of maternal and newborn deaths caused by teenage pregnancy or too close a gap between pregnancies.
But also the right care for expectant mothers before, during and after the birth and the initial care of the newborn ensures increasingly safer births for mother and child.
